Community Based
Renewable Energy
(CBRE) Project
What is a CBRE?
CBRE stands for “Community-based Renewable Energy”. Similar terms are “Community Solar” or “Shared Solar”.
Unlike other solar farms, CBRE projects provide targeted financial benefits to subscribing households.
This program was designed to benefit grid customers who can’t access rooftop solar (e.g. renters and homeowners with old roofs).
